Due to the continued growth of our Canvas family and the desire to partner strategically to flourish our neighborhood, we are excited about the opportunity to move into our new venue at Marina Middle School, starting Sunday, March 11th.
01. We're going to be a major blessing to Marina Middle School
Schools are one of our most important institutions. Teachers have the job that creates all other jobs. With this new partnership, we are excited to be able to join with this world-shaping work that happens every day on their campus by serving the faculty, providing for needs they may have on their school grounds, and meeting tangible needs that the teachers, students, or families at Marina Middle School may have.
02. Eat Ups launching March 25th
We are committed to being "a small church with a lot of people." Meaning, we are committed to Canvas continuing to be an easy place to find belonging and meaningful community. If you are new, new-ish, or just want to make friends, look for the Eat Up sign starting March 18th after our morning gathering.
03. Age-Based Kids Experiences
We have seen tremendous growth in our Kids community in 2017. Marina Middle School will allow us to have the space needed to offer age-based experiences in order to create the best experience for our Canvas kiddos. Also, we are looking to do an upgrade of our Kids spaces, check-in processes, and curriculum. Our goal is to have this fully launched by September, 2018.
Church should feel like a party, not a funeral. We value that space before-and-after our Sunday gatherings where people can connect over coffee, food and great conversation. In 2018, we're excited to begin the "Party-Before-The-Party," with pour-over coffee, music, early check-in for kids, and more. Our goal is to launch this by September, 2018.
05. Free Parking
Do we really need to say more?
